我有预订。
How it works
This is a simple Subject-Verb-Object sentence. You can replace the object to state other things you possess.
- 我 (wǒ): I
- 有 (yǒu): have
- 预订 (yùdìng): reservation / booking
Tone sandhi
When two third-tone syllables appear together, the first one changes to a second tone. Therefore, 'wǒ yǒu' is pronounced as 'wó yǒu'.
When to use
Say this immediately after greeting the receptionist to state your purpose. Handing over your passport or ID while saying this is standard practice in Chinese hotels.
Notes
A standard, polite way to initiate the check-in process at the front desk.
