我对这个过敏。
How it works
Subject + 对 (duì) + Noun/Pronoun + 过敏 (guò mǐn).
- 对 (duì): towards / to
- 这个 (zhè ge): this
- 过敏 (guò mǐn): allergic / allergy
Word order for allergies
In Chinese, you do not say 'I am allergic to X'. Instead, the prepositional phrase must come before the verb. The literal structure is 'I towards X have an allergy'.
Adaptability
Replace 这个 (this) with specific allergens to be precise, such as 花生 (huā shēng, peanuts), 海鲜 (hǎi xiān, seafood), or 青霉素 (qīng méi sù, penicillin).
Notes
Essential structure for expressing allergies, using the preposition 'duì' (towards).
